Basketball Recap: PikeView Takes a Loss

PikeView was the 51-46 winner over Bluefield when they last played one another back in February, but their luck changed this time around. The Panthers took a 69-63 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Beavers on Thursday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Tuesday (58), the Panthers still had to take the loss.

PikeView's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Bluefield, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. PikeView won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Herbert Hoover at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Bluefield, they will be home for the holidays to greet Princeton at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
