Volleyball Recap: Newtown Comes Up Short

Newtown was the 2-0 winner over Flushing when they last played one another on October 1st, but their luck changed this time around. The Pioneers took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Red Devils on Friday.

Newtown's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Flushing, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Coincidentally, Newtown and Flushing will both be playing Forest Hills the next time they take the court. The Pioneers will host the Rangers at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Red Devils will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
