Basketball Recap: Shawnee Comes Up Short

Shawnee lost against Graham Local back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Shawnee Braves took a blow against the Graham Local Falcons, falling 67-34. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Graham Local found their leader in sophomore Zoey Conn, who dropped a double-double on 25 points and 11 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Conn has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Riley McAlexander, who posted six points in addition to six steals and five boards.

Shawnee's defeat dropped their record down to 1-5. As for Graham Local, their victory bumped their record up to 3-5.

Shawnee wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 68-24 win against Northeastern on the 17th. Graham Local and Benjamin Logan will compete for holiday cheer at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Graham Local is facing Benjamin Logan at the right time seeing as Benjamin Logan is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
