Baseball Recap: Central Catholic Gets the Win

While Central Catholic's win against Methuen wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Raiders narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Rangers 5-4. The Raiders haven't had any issues with the Rangers recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Rocco Roeger looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no walks, which is notable because Central Catholic is undefeated when he allows at most one walk, but 0-6 otherwise.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brayden Rivard, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI and two doubles. Another player making a difference was Nick Randazzo, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Central Catholic's victory bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Methuen, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Central Catholic will take on Dracut at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Methuen, they will challenge Tewksbury Memorial at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
