Recap: Grace Christian Wildcats vs. Mintz Christian Academy Lions
The Grace Christian Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their 16th straight loss dating back to last season. They were dealt a 74-44 defeat at the hands of Mintz Christian Academy. Grace Christian has struggled against Mintz Christian Academy recently, as their contest on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Among those leading the charge was Zach Honeycutt, who scored 22 points along with nine rebounds and five steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Autrey, who scored 16 points.
Grace Christian bumped their record down to 0-3 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season. As for Mintz Christian Academy, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Grace Christian will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Temple Christian at 5:30 p.m. on January 12, 2024. Mintz Christian Academy is on the road again on Tuesday and play against Columbus Christian Academy at 5:00 p.m. on December 12th. Columbus Christian Academy will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 562nd, while Mintz Christian Academy is ranked 158th).
