Recap: Jackson Academy Raiders vs. Memphis HomeSchool
The Jackson Academy Raiders had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 23.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They snuck past Memphis HomeSchool with a 53-48 win. Despite the win, that was the fewest points Jackson Academy has scored all year.
Leading Jackson Academy to victory were DJ Washington and Mike Williams. Washington scored 12 points, while Williams scored 17 points along with five rebounds and four steals. The match was Williams' 19th in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Caleb Gaitor, who scored 12 points along with five assists.
Jackson Academy's win bumped their record up to 18-1. As for Memphis HomeSchool, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Jackson Academy will be playing in front of their home fans against Starkville Academy at 5:45 p.m. on Saturday. Memphis HomeSchool does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
