Preview: Crown Point Bulldogs vs. Hammond Central Wolves
Crown Point has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will challenge the Hammond Central Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Crown Point scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 69-51 win over Munster. That 69-51 margin sets a new team best for Crown Point this season.
Meanwhile, even though 21st Century Charter scored an imposing 72 points on Friday, Hammond Central still came out on top. Hammond Central narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past 21st Century Charter 74-72. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Hammond Central.
Hammond Central's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Gregory Dotson, who scored 22 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Browder, who scored 25 points along with eight rebounds.
Crown Point's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Hammond Central, their win was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-4.
Crown Point came up short against Hammond Central in their previous matchup back in December of 2022, falling 51-44. Can Crown Point avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
