Football Recap: Red Rock Comes Up Short

The Red Rock Scorpions were beaten by the Williams Vikings 58-6 on Friday.

Williams was led to victory by Anthony Soto and Mario Pedraza. Soto rushed for 99 yards and two scores on only seven carries, while Pedraza rushed for 62 yards and a pair of touchdowns. The bulk of those rushing yards came from one huge play: a run that gained an incredible 52 yards.

Red Rock's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Williams, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Looking ahead, Red Rock will be playing in front of their home fans against Mohave Accelerated at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Scorpions surely won't give up without a fight. As for Williams, they will head out to challenge Hayden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Vikings will need to watch out since the Lobos have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season.
