Baseball Preview: St. John's Jesuit Titans vs. Bowling Green Bobcats
The St. John's Jesuit Titans will head out on the road to take on the Bowling Green Bobcats at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the game bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
St. John's Jesuit took a six-run loss the last time they faced off against Northview, but this time they managed to keep it close and that made all the difference. The Titans narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Wildcats 2-1.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Bowling Green, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They came out on top against Rossford on Monday by a score of 10-0 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). With that victory, the Bobcats brought their scoring average up to 6.4 runs per game.
Colby Joseph was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3. Evan Meyer also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.
The win got St. John's Jesuit back to even at 1-1. As for Bowling Green, they now have a winning record of 3-2.
