Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Howells-Dodge). They breezed by the Tekamah-Herman Tigers to the tune of 72-15 on Friday. Given the Jaguars' advantage in MaxPreps' Nebraska basketball rankings (they are ranked 54th, while the Tigers are ranked 252nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Howells-Dodge's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jordyn Ratzlaff, who posted 14 points and three steals. Ava Noyd was another key player, going 7 for 8 on her way to 14 points and five boards.

Howells-Dodge was working as a unit and finished the game with 24 assists. That's the most assists they've posted since the start of last season.

Howells-Dodge pushed their record up to 11-6 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 52.3 points per game. As for Tekamah-Herman, they are on a ten-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-15.

Howells-Dodge will square off against Pender at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Pender will roll in looking for their 18th straight victory, something Howells-Dodge surely won't give up without a fight. Tekamah-Herman has already played their next matchup, a 65-28 defeat against Concordia on the 25th.
