Basketball Recap: Pleasant Grove Skates Past Stagg with Ease

On Saturday, the Pleasant Grove Eagles humbled the Stagg Delta Kings with an 80-29 victory. The Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three contests by 20 points or more this season.

It was another big night for Pharrell Williams, who went 9 of 13 on his way to 21 points and three steals. Williams is crushing it when it comes to steals: he's grabbed at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Desi Solis, who posted nine points and five steals.

Pleasant Grove's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Stagg, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Pleasant Grove will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Turlock at 7:30 p.m. Pleasant Grove is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 59.4 points per game this season. As for Stagg, they will welcome Aspire Langston Hughes Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
