            Baseball Recap: Harmon Hawks vs. Highland Park Scots        
        
		
        
        
            Harmon won the last time they faced Highland Park and things went their way  on Thursday too. The Hawks came out on top against the Scots by a score of  5-2. The  victory made it back-to-back  wins for the Hawks.
 Jesus Portillo Carrillo tossed a big game,   striking out seven batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned runs off   one  hit. He is becoming a predictor of Harmon's success: when he allows at  most one  hit the team is 3-1 (and 3-5 when he doesn't).

 On the hitting side,  Brandon Anfinson was a standout: he went 1-for-4 with three  stolen bases, two  runs,  and one  RBI. He has become a key player for Harmon: the team is undefeated when he posts  at  least  two  runs, but 3-6 otherwise. The team also got some help courtesy of  Chad Taylor, who  got on base  in two of his four plate appearances with two  stolen bases, one  run,  and one  RBI.
The  win  got Harmon back to even at 6-6. As for Highland Park, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-3-2 record  this season.
 Harmon will welcome Wyandotte  at 4:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. The Bulldogs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 11.6  runs per game on average), something the Hawks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Highland Park, they are taking a road trip to  take on Northeast  at 4:00  p.m.  on Monday.
