Basketball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is Meade County's Fourth in Last Five Outings

If South Oldham wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Meade County, they should've done a better job of containing Peyton Bradley. The Meade County Green Waves walked away with a 72-64 win over the South Oldham Dragons on Tuesday thanks in part to Bradley, who went 12 for 27 en route to 31 points and six rebounds. She is becoming a predictor of Meade County's success: when she posts at least 30 points the team is 9-2 (and 4-5 when she doesn't).

The team also got some help courtesy of Kaylee Rider, who posted four points along with seven boards and seven steals. Those seven steals gave her a new career-high.

Meade County is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five matches, which provided a nice bump to their 13-7 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 64.8 points per game. As for South Oldham, they dropped their record down to 6-8 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meade County will square off against Breckinridge County at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Breckinridge County is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.3 points per game this season. As for South Oldham, they will challenge North Oldham at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. South Oldham is facing North Oldham at the right time seeing as North Oldham is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
