Football Recap: Forest Hills Proves Higher State Rank Is No Mistake

The home team had won the previous three meetings between Forest Hills and Bedford, and Forest Hills kept the tradition alive. The Rangers took down the Bisons 21-7 on Friday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Rangers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 129th, while the Bisons are ranked 302nd).

Xander Richardson had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 190 yards and a pair of touchdowns while picking up 9.0 yards per carry. What's more, he racked up six receiving yards, the most he's had since back in August of 2024.

Forest Hills didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Bedford to a completion percentage of just 26.7%. The Rangers weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 62.5%.

Forest Hills' record now sits at 5-1. As for Bedford, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Coming up, Forest Hills will venture away from home to challenge Central Cambria at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bedford, they will welcome Somerset at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bisons will be up against the Eagles' rather soft defense (which has allowed 38.17 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
