Football Recap: Richwood's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sterlington, Richwood was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They strolled past the Lake Arthur Tigers with points to spare, taking the game 28-14. The victory was some much needed relief for the Rams as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Richwood's win bumped their record up to 2-5. As for Lake Arthur, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 5-2.

Looking ahead, Richwood will look to defend their home field on Friday against North Webster at 7:00 p.m. The Rams will be up against the Knights' rather soft defense (which has allowed 28.71 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Lake Arthur, they will head out on the road to challenge Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (Lake Arthur 11.9, Lafayette Renaissance Charter Academy 14) so any points scored will be well earned.
