Baseball Recap: Buchanan Takes a Loss

The Buchanan Bucks didn't have quite enough to beat the Mattawan Wildcats on Saturday and fell 6-5. The Bucks have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Lucas Zeiger made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That home run marked the first that he has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Ari Johnson, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one stolen base.

Buchanan's defeat dropped their record down to 6-14. As for Mattawan, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-3-4 record this season.

While Buchanan had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
