Baseball Recap: Central Falls Short Against Ranked East Greenwich

Central faced East Greenwich in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Monday. The Knights fell just short of the Avengers by a score of 9-8. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Avengers this season, with their most recent defeat being a 2-0 loss on Thursday.

Central's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-9. As for East Greenwich, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 14-9 record this season.

As of now, neither Central nor East Greenwich have any future games scheduled.
