Basketball Recap: Houghton Comes Up Short

Houghton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They fell 61-49 to the Ishpeming Hematites. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Gremlins of the 61-43 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in February of 2024.

Houghton's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Ishpeming, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 14 of their last 16 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

As of now, neither Houghton nor Ishpeming have any future games scheduled.
