The Hawken Hawks will head out to square off against John Hay at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Hawken is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.3 runs per game this season.

Hawken will roll into the match after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up two runs last Wednesday, then bounced right back against Chagrin Falls on Tuesday. The Hawks were the clear victors by a 16-8 margin over the Tigers. The Hawks not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since May 8, 2024 (when they won 19-10).

Ari Ruch was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Ally Whiting, who went 2-for-4 with four runs and one RBI.

Meanwhile, John Hay was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Garrett Morgan, falling 23-8.

Hawken pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.6 runs over those games. As for John Hay, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.
