Volleyball Recap: Sherwood Victorious

Sherwood won the last time they faced Crest Ridge and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Marksmen came out on top against the Cougars by a score of 3-1. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Marksmen.

Sherwood had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-18, 25-15, 25-17.

Kiah Felton paced Sherwood's offense, picking up 12 kills. Felton got some help from Aubrey McCulloh and her 19 assists. Cooper McDonald controlled things from the service line, finishing with four aces.

Sherwood's victory bumped their record up to 5-2. As for Crest Ridge, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sherwood will host Appleton City at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Crest Ridge, they will be playing at home against Orrick at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
