Franklin Pierce unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-pitch advantage in their season opener. They fell just short of the Bremerton Knights by a score of 3-2 on Monday.

Kayla Tarver wasn't going to let Bremerton walk away unscathed as she scored both of Franklin Pierce's goals.

Bremerton's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Franklin Pierce didn't take long to hit the pitch again: they've already played their next match, an 8-0 victory against Mount Tahoma on the 9th. As for Bremerton, they are taking a road trip to face off against North Kitsap at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The game will give Bremerton their first taste of in-conference action this season.
