Basketball Recap: Putnam Gets the Win

Putnam posted their closest victory since February 21, 2024 on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Hood River Valley Eagles 55-52. That's more bragging rights for the Kingsmen, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Putnam is also on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a massive bump to their 5-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Hood River Valley, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 5-9.

Coincidentally, Putnam and Hood River Valley will both be playing Parkrose the next time they take the court. Hood River Valley will host Parkrose at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while Putnam will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on January 31st.
