League recap: Warren paces San Gabriel Valley with three wins over past week

San Gabriel Valley league recap: 3/27/13

Warren had a successful week, as it won three total games to lead the league. The Bears beat Lynwood 12-2 and Wilson 8-3.

Warren (6-2, 3-0) has won six games in a row, San Gabriel Valley's longest active win streak.

Gahr boasted the best pitching over the past week, holding opponents to the league's fewest hits and issuing the fewest walks.

The Gladiators' Edgar Morales shredded the standings for San Gabriel Valley this week as he led the league in average, hits and RBIs. Morales notched seven hits and eight RBIs, all while batting .778.

Gahr's George Castillo led the league in strikeouts this week with six. He's fourth in the league with ten total strikeouts.



Kevin Franklin drove in four runners on Friday in the Gladiators' 24-0 victory over Dominguez. He went 2-for-2 and scored three runs.

Greg Humbert threw a shutout as he led Gahr to victory over Downey, 3-0, on Tuesday. He struck out six, allowing one hit.
