Soccer Game Preview: Penn vs. Northridge

The Penn Kingsmen will challenge the Northridge Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Penn sitting on three straight victories and Northridge on ten.

Penn is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. Their defense stepped up to hand South Bend Adams a 1-0 shutout. Penn's defense has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a goal in their last three contests.

Their one-goal win came courtesy of Alisa Noakes, who's now up to two this season.

Meanwhile, it was close, but on Saturday Northridge sidestepped Warsaw for a 1-0 win. That's two games straight that Northridge have won by just one goal.

Northridge's victory bumped their record up to 15-2-2. As for Penn, their win bumped their record up to 11-4-4.

Penn came up short against Northridge when the teams last played back in September, falling 3-1. Can the Kingsmen avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
