With a playoff win on the line, Florence rose to the challenge  on Monday. They blew past the Gautier Gators 15-2. The Eagles might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 12 matches by seven  runs or more this season.
 Brady Griffin made a splash no matter where he played. On the mound, he  pitched three innings while giving up just two earned runs but no hits. Griffin was even better at the plate,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  home run, three  RBI,  and two  runs. That's the most  RBI  he has posted since back in March.
 In other batting news,  Bryan Davis and  Jaboris Buckley did most of the damage at the plate:  Davis  earned two  runs and three  stolen bases, while  Buckley  went 3-for-4 with three  RBI and one  run. That's the most  RBI  Buckley has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was  Andrew Woods, who  got on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  run and one  RBI.
Florence has  been performing  well recently as they've  won 13 of their last 16 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-6 record  this season. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Gautier,  they are  on  a  three-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 12-18.
As of now, neither Florence nor the Gators have any future games scheduled.
