Basketball Recap: Middle Park Comes Up Short

Middle Park was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 61-36 to the Rifle Bears.

John Langstaff was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double with 19 points and ten steals for Rifle. Thanks to that strong game, Langstaff now owns an excellent 58.3% field goal percentage. The team also got some help courtesy of Adan Medina, who almost dropped a double-double with ten points and nine steals.

Middle Park's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Rifle, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.

Coming up, Middle Park will take on University in a tournament on Thursday. As for Rifle, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on North Fork at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
