Baseball Game Preview: Flowing Wells Caballeros vs. Amphitheater Panthers

The Flowing Wells Caballeros will head out to take on the Amphitheater Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Flowing Wells lost 13-3 to Desert View on Tuesday.

Flowing Wells got a good showing from Ethan Valencia, who pitched four innings while giving up just one earned (and four unearned) runs off seven hits. That's the fewest earned runs Valencia has allowed since back in March.

Meanwhile, Amphitheater was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 20th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Cholla, falling 23-0.

Flowing Wells has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-11-1 record this season. As for Amphitheater, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Flowing Wells took their victory against Amphitheater in their previous matchup back in April of 2022 by a conclusive 19-0 score. Do the Caballeros have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Panthers turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
