Baseball Game Preview: Willcox Cowboys vs. Chandler Prep Titans

The Willcox Cowboys will take on the Chandler Prep Titans in a tournament on Saturday.

Willcox's tournament run continued when they took on Coolidge on Friday. Willcox came up short against Coolidge, falling 11-5.

Willcox saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Severo Torres, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Chandler Prep put another one in the bag on Friday to keep their perfect season alive. Everything went their way against ALA - Anthem South as Chandler Prep made off with a 12-2 victory. Fans of Chandler Prep have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Aiden Allen made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out six over four innings pitched. Allen was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

In other batting news, Derek Tucker was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. Isaac Swanson was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 1-for-2.

Chandler Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .567. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as ALA - Anthem South only posted an OBP of .368.

Willcox now has a losing record of 0-1-1. As for Chandler Prep, their record now sits at 3-0.
