Volleyball Recap: Hayden Find Success

Hayden lost to Labette County back in October of 2021, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Saturday. The Wildcats walked away with a 2-0 win over the Grizzlies. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Wildcats.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Hayden took both sets by at least 15 points. The final score came out to 25-7, 25-10.

Hailey Schmidtlein paced Hayden's offense, picking up ten kills. Schmidtlein got some help from Blakely Walter and her 20 assists. Finally, Schmidtlein was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high two blocks.

Hayden's victory bumped their record up to 27-9. As for Labette County, they dropped their record down to 12-23 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road.

Hayden didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Eudora on the 25th. Labette County does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
