Soccer Game Preview: Air Academy vs. Evergreen

The Air Academy Kadets will face off against the Evergreen Cougars at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Air Academy comes in on three and Evergreen on nine.

Air Academy's defense heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They won by a goal and slipped past Cheyenne Mountain 1-0. Grace Bennett had the honor of scoring the game-winner for Air Academy.

Meanwhile, after failing to score in their last matchup, Evergreen made sure to put some goals up on the board against Conifer on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Lobos. Evergreen might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine games by three goals or more this season.

Evergreen pushed their record up to 11-1-2 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 29 goals over those six contests. As for Air Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 8-3-2.
