Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Campbell County). They breezed past the Nicholas County Bluejackets to the tune of 92-63 on Friday. Given the Camels' advantage in MaxPreps' Kentucky basketball rankings (they are ranked 48th, while the Bluejackets are ranked 132nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Leading Campbell County to victory were Austin Davie and Garyn Jackson. Davie went 9-for-14 to rack up 24 points, while Jackson dropped a double-double with 18 points and ten boards. That's the most rebounds Jackson has posted since back in December of 2024. Lucas Anthrop was another key player, going 5-for-8 on his way to 12 points and five boards.

Campbell County's win bumped their record up to 18-9. As for Nicholas County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 16-8.

As for Nicholas County, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 64-59 victory against Holmes on the 15th.
