East Rowan extends road losing streak to three

Recap: East Rowan Mustangs vs. Central Cabarrus Vikings

The East Rowan Mustangs suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They had to suffer through a rough 111-37 loss at the hands of Central Cabarrus. East Rowan has not had much luck with Central Cabarrus recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.

Several Mustangs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Aiden Lino, who scored five points.

Josh Dalton was his usual excellent self, scoring 19 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks for Central Cabarrus. The team also got some help courtesy of Desmond Kent Jr., who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 12 rebounds.

East Rowan bumped their record down to 2-13 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Central Cabarrus, the victory for they keeps them at an undefeated 17-0.

East Rowan will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake Norman Charter at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. That game will pit two of the most dominant guards against one another: Braylon Irelan and Drake Jones. As for Central Cabarrus, they will head out on the road to square off against South Rowan at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. South Rowan is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
