Preview: Barnwell vs. Burke
On Friday Barnwell take on Burke at Barnwell HS at 7:30 PM. The match looks good for Barnwell since they are the big favorites in the MaxPreps state rankings.
Barnwell had a bit more than a touchdown to spare in a 21-14 victory over Silver Bluff. No one had a better game by the numbers than junior Dallyon Creech, who brought his A game into the match. He picked up 97 yards on the ground and caught passes for 109 yards.
Meanwhile, Burke took a serious blow against Baptist Hill last Friday, falling 6-60. Burke were down by 6-46 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.
Barnwell's win lifted them to 3-0 while Burke's defeat dropped them down to 1-2. We'll see if Barnwell's success rolls on or if Burke are able to steal their positive momentum.
