Baseball Recap: Mountain Ridge Takes a Loss

Mountain Ridge lost against Millennium back in March, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Mountain Lions fell just short of the Tigers by a score of 3-2. The Mountain Lions have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Jaggar Wethington was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he tossed 5.2 innings while giving up just two earned (and one unearned) runs off four hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Joe Forbes was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one RBI.

Mountain Ridge's defeat dropped their record down to 14-13. As for Millennium, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 21-8.

As of now, neither Mountain Ridge nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
