Soccer Recap: Layton Takes a Loss

Layton lost against Fremont back in April of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Layton fell just short of Fremont by a score of 2-1. One reason for the loss might be Layton's aggressive play style: three Layton players were handed yellow cards.

Their goal came courtesy of Edwin Tamoua, who's now up to seven this season.

Layton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Fremont, their win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-1.

Layton and Fremont will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next games. The next time Layton sees the pitch they'll take on Weber at 3:30 p.m. on April 9. As for Fremont, their break will end when they face Farmington at 3:30 p.m. on April 9.
