For whatever reason, it's the away team that's had the advantage when Waverly and Olpe meet (two straight games heading into this one) and that held true again on Tuesday. The Bulldogs fell just short of the Eagles by a score of 2-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Bulldogs in their meetings with the Eagles: they've now lost three in a row.

In a back-and-forth that saw neither team win consecutive sets, Waverly sadly dropped the once that decided the match. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 22-25, 25-18.

Waverly's loss dropped their record down to 20-14-1. As for Olpe, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 24-12.

As of now, neither Waverly nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
