Baseball Recap: Fairfield Takes a Loss

Fairfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their sixth straight defeat. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Delone Catholic Squires. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Squires this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 9-8 back in March.

Jacob Liller made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Fairfield's record now sits at 2-10-1. As for Delone Catholic, their victory was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairfield will square off against Littlestown at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Delone Catholic, they will face off against Hanover at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday.
