Basketball Recap: The Webb Schools Gauls vs. Western Christian Fighting Lancers
The Webb Schools Gauls lost against the Western Christian Fighting Lancers two weeks ago, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Webb Schools was dealt a 67-34 loss at the hands of the Fighting Lancers. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points The Webb Schools has scored all season.
The Webb Schools lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Ayan Kaushal, who dropped a double-double on ten points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Tyler Samson, who scored six points along with six rebounds.
Dj Harris continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Western Christian, scoring 26 points. Harris continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Brian Wallace was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.
This is the second loss in a row for The Webb Schools and nudges their season record down to 7-13. As for Western Christian, the victory (which was their 11th in a row) raised their record to 19-6.
The Webb Schools will head out on the road to face off against the Lions at 5:45 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Tarbut V' Torah's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last five contests. Western Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
