Brookings and Yankton are an even 5-5 against one another since August of 2016, but not for long. The Bobcats will head out to face off against the Bucks/Gazelles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Brookings' defense has only allowed 13.8 points per game this season, so Yankton's offense will have their work cut out for them.

Brookings' offense might be in the hot seat on Friday considering what happened against Tea on Friday. They came up short against the Titans, falling 20-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Bobcats were not able to get on the board.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Yankton and Sturgis Brown, and Sturgis Brown kept the tradition alive. The Bucks/Gazelles fell 27-21 to the Scoopers on Friday.

Yankton's defeat was their first in the region, dropping their region record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-2. As for Brookings, their loss dropped their record down to 3-3.

Things could have been worse for Brookings, but things could have been a whole lot better as they took a 24-7 loss to Yankton in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Can the Bobcats avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
