Baseball Game Preview: South Central Falcons vs. Bunn Wildcats

The South Central Falcons will challenge the Bunn Wildcats at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams are strolling into their games after big wins in their previous games.

South Central is looking to give their home crowd another W after opening their season at home on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 12-2 margin over Northside - Pinetown.

Christian Chance was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. Chance was also big at the plate, scoring a run while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

In other pitching news, Brandon Worsley looked comfortable as he tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. What's more, he gave up only one walk, the fewest he's had since back in February of 2024.

Back at the plate, South Central let Brody Brannan and Rahkeem Williams run wild. Brannan scored two runs while going 3-for-5, while Williams scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. What's more, Brannan posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in April of 2024. Another player making a difference was Tate Pinner, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

South Central always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .611. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Northside - Pinetown only posted an OBP of .238.

Meanwhile, everything went Bunn's way against Fike on Wednesday as Bunn made off with a 10-2 win. That's two games straight that the Wildcats have won by exactly eight runs.

South Central took their victory against Bunn when the teams last played back in March of 2022 by a conclusive 10-0. Does South Central have another victory up their sleeve, or will Bunn turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
