It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Shelby ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They came out on top against the Pleasant Spartans by a score of 64-54. The win was familiar territory for the Whippets, who have now won three matchups in a row.

Shelby's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-8. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.8 points over those games. As for Pleasant, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight contests, which has put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season.
