Soccer Game Preview: Lake Forest vs. Lakes

The Lake Forest Scouts will take on the Lakes Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Lake Forest's defense heads into the match hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed last Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 win over Vernon Hills. Even though Lake Forest got in a bit of trouble with the refs ( Michael Nduaka was handed a red card), the team managed to overcome the adversity.

Connor Phelan was the driving force of Lake Forest's attack as he scored both of Lake Forest's goals, bringing his season total up to three goals.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, Lakes was forced to settle for a draw. Neither they nor Cary-Grove could gain the upper hand last Saturday so the two teams had to settle for a 1-1 draw.

Lake Forest's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 8-9-1. With that draw, Lakes' record moves to 10-12-1.
