Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Martin County). They put the hurt on the Tradition Prep Pirates with a sharp 8-0 win on Thursday. The result was nothing new for the Tigers, who have now won five games by three goals or more so far this season.

Something new happened on Thursday as Alex Linares saw his first action of the season, playing ten minutes against Tradition Prep. Linares made the most of the opportunity, scoring a goal A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

The victory made it two in a row for Martin County and bumps their season record up to 10-3. As for Tradition Prep, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 4-14-2.

Martin County will be playing in front of their home fans against Benjamin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Tradition Prep, they will welcome Westwood at 3:30 p.m. on Friday. Tradition Prep is facing Westwood at the right time seeing as Westwood is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
