Dodd City lost against Avery two weeks ago and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Dodd City Hornets took a hard 41-23 fall against the Avery Bulldogs. The Hornets' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Dodd City's defeat dropped their record down to 6-16. As for Avery, they pushed their record up to 11-9 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season.

Dodd City will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Saint Jo at 11:15 a.m. on December 31st. Avery will also get a bit of a break before their next game: they'll face off against Maud at 12:00 p.m. on December 31st.
