Fenton came tearing into Thursday's match with five straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.6 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They never let the Kearsley Hornets get on the board and left with a 15-0 win. The Tigers' pitching crew has been rock solid lately; the team hasn't given up a run in their last three games.
Abby Golen was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI and one run.
In other batting news, Fenton got a massive performance out of Marlee Topij, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI and one stolen base. Those five RBI gave Topij a new career-high. Lillian Tillier was another key player, going 2-for-3 with four RBI and two runs.
