Basketball Recap: Jordan Christian Prep Gets the Win

Jordan Christian Prep posted their closest victory since March 7, 2024 on Saturday. They skirted past the Victory Christian Academy Storm 65-62. This was payback for the Seahawks, who suffered an 85-29 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Despite the loss, Victory Christian Academy still got an impressive performance from Bianca Barroso, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 23 boards. The dominant performance gave Barroso a new career-high in boards. The team also got some help courtesy of Jade Grier, who went 7 of 12 on her way to 17 points.

With the win, Jordan Christian Prep broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-3. As for Victory Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Jordan Christian Prep and Victory Christian Academy should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Florida Rankings. Jordan Christian Prep (ranked 157th) will meet Excel Christian Academy (ranked 377th) at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Similarly, Victory Christian Academy will challenge Ridgeview Global Studies Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday up 269 places (203 vs. 472).
