Volleyball Preview: Burlington Demons vs. Elkhorn Elks
Burlington has been on the road for three straight, but on Tuesday they'll finally head home. They will host the Elkhorn Elks at 6:30 p.m. Elkhorn took a loss in their last game and will be looking to turn the tables on Burlington, who comes in off a win.
On Saturday, Burlington narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past West Bend West 2-1.
The match was a true back-and-forth as no team won consecutive sets, but in the end it was Burlington who won the one that mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 26-28, 15-13.
Meanwhile, Elkhorn didn't have quite enough to beat Waterford on Tuesday and fell 3-2. The Elks haven't had much luck with the Wolverines recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Elkhorn took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The final score came out to 23-25, 25-23, 26-28, 25-10, 15-12.
Burlington's victory bumped their record up to 4-11. As for Elkhorn, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-10.
