Baseball Game Preview: Cascade Cougars vs. Jesup J-Hawks

Cascade and Jesup are an even 3-3 against one another since June of 2016, but likely not for long. The Cougars will host the J-Hawks at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. Cascade will be strutting in after a win while Jesup will be coming in after a loss.

Cascade took a loss when they played away from home on Thursday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Easton Valley, sneaking past 9-7. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Cougars have posted since June 27, 2024.

Meanwhile, Jesup was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of Union.

Cascade's win bumped their record up to 3-4. As for Jesup, their loss dropped their record down to 2-5.

Cascade couldn't quite get it done against Jesup when the teams last played back in June of 2024 as they fell 7-4. Can the Cougars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
