Football Recap: Logansport Comes Up Short

Logansport was the 42-0 winner over Western when they last played one another back in October of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Berries were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 35-34 to the Panthers. While the Berries had to settle for second, they closed the game well in the third quarter, where they outscored the Panthers 13-7.

Bryson Herr threw for 123 yards and two TDs. Quincy Jackson was his top target, picking up 72 receiving yards and one score. On the ground, Jaxsyn Walker rushed for 78 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only 11 carries.

Logansport's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Western, they pushed their record up to 6-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight at home.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Logansport will venture away from home to square off against Rensselaer Central at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bombers will aim to continue their four-game streak of scoring more points each contest than the last. As for Western, they will head out to challenge Twin Lakes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
