Softball Recap: Liberty Wins Going Away Against Neptune

While Liberty didn't have the best season last year (they finished 3-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They blew past the Neptune Scarlet Fliers 16-4 on Wednesday. The result was nothing new for the Lions, who have now won five matchups by ten runs or more so far this season.

Liberty is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-2 record this season. As for Neptune, they dropped their record down to 3-9-1 with the loss, which was their third straight on the road.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Liberty will face off against Lakewood at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Neptune, they will head out to square off against Long Branch at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
